Marvin Rivas, MBA, CPIA, is a respected insurance executive, entrepreneur, and community leader with over 30 years of industry experience. In January 2025, Marvin assumed the role of Managing Partner at Avante Insurance Group, a forward-thinking agency built on more than 50 years of combined expertise and long-standing insurance company relationships. Avante was formed to deliver customers broader access to top-tier insurance products and more competitive solutions for their personal and commercial insurance needs.

As the founder and President of The Madison Insurance & Financial Group, Marvin has built a reputation for delivering customized coverage strategies, expert risk management, and client-centered service. Since launching the agency in 2006, he has led its expansion across multiple states, guided by a deep commitment to integrity, innovation, and education.

Marvin holds an MBA and is a Certified Professional Insurance Agent (CPIA), specializing in commercial lines, cyber liability, and strategic business protection. His leadership combines technical knowledge with a consultative approach, ensuring clients understand and manage risks—not just insure them.

In addition to his agency work, Marvin serves as President of the South Florida Chapter of the Latin American Association of Insurance Agencies (LAAIA), where he actively mentors emerging professionals and champions inclusive leadership within the independent agency space.

A proud immigrant from Managua, Nicaragua, Marvin’s personal journey—from an uninsured individual to a multi-agency owner and industry mentor—continues to shape his mission: helping others succeed through opportunity, education, and trust.
